The author’s being from one of the most suspect of the soft sciences shows throughout her article. However, given her admitted Liberal orientation and the lack of verifiable premises in her profession, she still writes an interesting article.
Arguably, her best talent is her mastery of aptly turned phrase. Her sentence, “If women work hard, leftist men don’t have to.” is an excellent example.
What the author has is the clarity of a mugged liberal. She knows the dark side well, and she knows its attraction for others, and she sees it clearly now, because she is ensconced in the truth.
Not a lot of need for hard science training to speak the truth out of your own experience.
