At this point in time, Sarah is a public/private individual. Not sure that any GOP elected official can step up and make Sarah an issue; it would then be called ‘favoritism’ or some other nonsense.
When and if she declares her candidacy - that will be the time for individual elected officials to choose her side - or the backside;)
The elite, dem or rep, went to the same schools. Belonged to the same clubs, run in the same circles. Their world view is the same.
Palin is not like them. She is like the ones they look down and hate. She is a small town, small state, western small college graduate, western frontier Governor, mother, wife, mother who dared have a Downs child (and didn't kill it), etc. She is the embodiment of everything that the powered class fears and hates.
She will be attacked more by the GOP than the Dems.
It would have been good if he had stopped there. But then, with characteristic passion, he turned to what he knew would be her most memorable line: a charge that his critics are the ones guilty of fomenting violence.
Quoting Sara Palin as saying "Especially within hours of a tragedy unfolding, journalists and pundits should not manufacture a blood libel that serves only to incite the very hatred and violence they purport to condemn," she said. "That is reprehensible." He replies By "blood libel," Ms. Palin was referring, of course, to the charge that her own rhetoric had somehow increased the likelihood that a mentally disturbed young man would shoot people. And on the substance, she was right: There's no evidence that her words — or anyone else's — contributed to Saturday's tragedy.
But his statement also confirmed something that should disqualify him from ever being considered a journalist: He has no sense of proportion.
Since Freerepublic went down the last time everything is all screwed up. I can see I have Mail or Pings and I click on them but then the page is empty. I tried seeing if I went to Preferences if I could tweak something there but it is empty also. I have asked JimRob several times since Jan 6th if he could fix it or let me know how. I have not received a single word from him. This is getting real frustrating.
Is anyone else having this same problem?
OK, thanks for letting me know. The issue was the posting of this link over at Sarah’s Facebook page (where she does most of her posting), which was quickly attacked by trolls.
IF you have an account with FB, you might want to stop by and leave a comment of support to her and also report the trolls. Otherwise, don’t worry about it.
