amazing that we have so many talented legislators, lawmakers and leaders and a bureaucracy that bows to no one else globally,, and an economy that once led the free world and fed it too.. and now.. we lag.. we pass legislation that takes jobs away, we turn food into fuel and refuse to tap the natural resources at home..
hundreds of thousands of children go to bed hungry.. yet FLotUS says we're a nation of fatties.. like I said .. amazing

How convenient for the state to have young minds to shape from breakfast through dinner.

our local school will definitely qualify as we have a large number of “rural poor” here.
However - as with most great liberal ideas - there will be unforeseen costs and unfunded mandates.
Our local schools are already stretched to the limit - cutting staff. Cutting programs and considering shutting down some facilities altogether.
This is no time to start a “new” program that is going to involve additional costs to the schools.

Breakfast, lunch, and now supper. Gee, how about orphanages?

hundreds of thousands of children go to bed hungryAnd most of them are already fat. Do you think for a minute if there were thousands of emaciated children in the US it wouldn't be on TV 24/7? Go to any impoverished area in the US and you'll see fat kids lumbering along.

If the Federal Government wants to help kids, they could start by forsaking their insane desire to destroy kids’ parents. But of course the Federal Government wants to help only themselves. Caring about kids is a scam.

This legislation is finally beginning to be realized as the harsh law it truly is. At my high school, the lunch ladies don't count up all the calories on every plate to make sure each student's lunch
is no more than 850 calories
(which is technically a part of the Heathy, Hunger-Free Kids Act
: the limit for any 9th- through 12th-grader's lunch calories is dictated as being 850), but they DO force us to put one serving of fruits/vegetables on our tray, and do it themselves if we "refuse to eat healthy"
of our own accord. Not only does this seem unconstitutional to me, many of my classmates, and vast others, but the economy is definitely being hurt by this! Most of us students just throw the fruit away, even if we happen to like it
, hoping that the message will one day get itself across. The funding for this food comes from the FEDERAL GOVERNMENT!
All this food they're paying for has come to naught; This
, alongside of everything that involves basic personal rights, has led me to realize that someone needs to shoot down (if Big Brother happens to be reading this, don't worry, that's metaphorical, not terroristical) this law. So.....where should I start? Petitions? Contacting the 3 people that represent me on a federal level (my representative and 2 senators) ??? Anything before that point, or other vital info to mention? All ideas replies welcome.
