My grandfather had Alzheimer’s. He may’ve had minor issues early on, but no-one would say it was AD until he was well into it and it was obvious. Having a few issues to start isn’t the same as being full-tilt.

So what did Bill and Hillary Clinton have? — when under oath all they could say was “I Don’t Recall”

I haven’t read all the posts so might have missed it... but if Pres Reagan was diagnosed five years after he left office, then lived awhile longer (can’t remember how many more years), how could he have had it in office??? I mean, isn’t it something that lasts about 10 years total, maybe less? I don’t get this b.s.

Michael Reagan released the following statement to FoxNation.com: "Ron was an embarrassment to his father when he was alive and today he became an embarrassment to his mother." That says it all.

OUCH, that should leave a mark.

My liberal sister probably thinks I’ve dumbed down. Truth is her liberal gambit statements generally just dumbfound me. How do you keep a family relationship cordial and loving and answer their statements of belief that they think are facts?

I suspect Reagan did what I do, just shine it on most of the time.

Once she said something like she thought I believed she was stupid. I finally had a succinct answer, “No, you’re not stupid, just wrong.”

Young Ron must calculate that by now we’ve forgotten how he debased his dad’s memorial.

We haven’t.

Dry up and blow away, little Ron. It’s hard to imagine an heir to a name more undeserving than you.

I’ll never forget Reagan’s rousing speech at the ‘92 Republican National Convention. Even though it was a written speech, I don’t think he could have delivered it so flawlessly if he were impaired.

Perhaps he had very early signs. My father had occasional lapses that didn’t particularly effect his productivity for several years before the real onset of symptoms. I highly doubt he had the full blown disease.

I watched Reagan give a speech on C-span in 1992 at Oxford and I have to say that he showed a sharpness and greatness even then that puts Liberals everywhere to shame.

Chief Joseph of the Nez Perce said that a man who does not respect his father’s grave is worse than a wild animal.

I had a real gotcha moment the other day when my son (who is apolitical) and his friend, a liberal, were talking about some such nonsense, don’t know what. The friend was praising Obama, Clinton, etc. and was saying how Bush and Reagan had ruined the country. My son said “Oh no, man, Reagan - he was the greatest President ever. Seriously. I was reading about him. Obama - sorry, dude, he’s a jerk.”

There are few moments more satisfying in a parent’s life than when you realize your kid has figured out greatness all by himself.
