The younger Reagan said his father often didn't seem sharp during their political debates.

I'll believe it when he lands the Presidency.

"There was just something that was off, I couldn't quite put my finger on it,"

Gee Ron Jr, could it be because you spent every waking moment trying to draw attention to himself by embarrassing him, and he found he was uncomfortable around you as a result?

I like this comment at the link:

"Even if he did have Alzheimer's while in the WH, I'd say he did better than this one without it."

Michael Reagan released the following statement to FoxNation.com: "Ron was an embarrassment to his father when he was alive and today he became an embarrassment to his mother."

That says it all.

Little Ronnie was all wrapped up in his professional dance. What does he know about Alzheimer’s? He’s a disgrace to his family.

What a stupid article. It doesn’t even mention Reagan son Michael other than in the headline. All it talks about is the imbecilic rantings of junior.

The fairy boy hates his father even to this day.

How pathetic.

Michael wrote that article when his step-mother died was one of the greatest articles I have ever read. It was about hard work and deserving what you get, had to do with working a paper route to get the bicycle he wanted. I will never forget it.

Perhaps Ron, like other "progressives" are so disconnected from the philosophy and principles of liberty, as understood and articulated by President Reagan, that he was unable to perceive his father's wisdom and brilliance in political discussions.

One only needs to read the volumes of letters and other personal writings of Ronald Reagan during those years to understand how superior was his grasp of "first principles."

Like many others of his generation, the younger Reagan may have been too much influenced by 19th, 20th, and 21st Century counterfeit ideas, with too little attention to the wisdom of the ages which his father held dear. Perhaps that may explain his willingness to participate in what may be an attempt by some to denigrate President Reagan's contributions during the final years of his Presidency.

Reagan’s doctors said that they could see absolutely no indication that he had Alzheimer’s when he was in office.

Actually, that aside, RR was in mostly good health up to the end. When he had his 90th birthday in 2001, Nancy said that he still had most of his hair color. Despite being 77 when he left office, he looked at least 20 years younger.

There are just some people who have good genes like that and age really well. Meanwhile, there are people in their 50s who look much older than they are.
