During this video it doesn’t take much of a mental midget to see he had more than a few loose screws. And he talked like he wrote. Carrying on about grammar, illegal currency, illiterate people, so much so that he must have been a real PITA to have in class.

I'm not surprised this video hits the other themes he 'wrote' about on Youtube and in a similar structure or manner. I don't think this can be taken as being an example of how he normally was and not a performance piece.

I'm not saying he didn't have problems, but is he 'insane' in a legal sense of unable to know right from wrong?

I don't see enough in the publicly available material. He was clearly functional... able to drive, able to handle a traffic stop by an officer, able to buy ammo, able to order a cab, able to get the cash to pay the driver...
