When CPAC and other conventions run straw polls, the winner is usually determined by whichever candidate's supporters pack the house. The National TEA Party Convention scheduled for April 7-9 in Memphis will be doing a PPV where they expect 30K+ subscribers who will be able to vote. With this large a voting base, it should be a 'must attend' event for anyone thinking of running once they find this out. Herman Cain and Newt are already listed as speakers. I expect others to attend as soon as word of this straw poll gets out. It should give a beeter idea of nationwide primary support as opposed to IA and NH. They'd be crazy to pass it up.

Wow! The TEA party is coming to this city? I hope they don’t expect a good welcome inside the city limits. The Beck and the TEA Party caused the shooting meme is eaten up completely by the masses here.
I thought Gingrich was anti tea party.
It was said that newt cozy and lined himself up with some Tea Party leaders out west.....so Newt had got in by influence but not necessarily by grassroots people on the street
