A 1420T Destroyer? Our Arleigh Burke-class destroyers exceed 9K-ton. I think our Perry-class frigates are somewhere around 4000-4500-ton(ish). It's more like a big corvette than destroyer.

I guess if it makes them feel better about themselves, then they should call it a destroyer - hell, they can call it carrier, I guess.
