I saw the doctors medical briefing updates that they held on Thursday morning. As I understand it, Congresswoman Gifford opened her eye, I’m not sure which one that is, before Wednesday, but that was with forced stimulation. Wednesday she opened her eye spontaneously in the presence of her husband and a few congressional colleagues. Her neurosurgeon, Dr. Michael Lemole, suggested that the visit from her friends, hearing their voices, might have precipitated it.
