U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords is no longer in critical condition after being shot in the head last weekend, a hospital spokeswoman said.
Giffords is now listed in serious condition, Ann Cisneros, a spokeswoman for University Medical Center said in a news release Sunday.
"The congresswoman continues to do well. She is breathing on her own. Yesterdays procedures were successful and uneventful," she said.

Pretty miraculous really.
Praises lifted...
Thank God!
Amen!
She could open her eye/eyes the day after the shooting, she could breathe on her own, but they put the tube back in so she wouldn’t labor.. a few days later she could raise both arms and legs. The docotrs already knew she isn’t as bad as the media is portraying. But then the Democrats can’t exploit it otherwise..drag it out, keep it in the news...and proclaim what a miraculous healing Obama announced.
I for one am sick of it.
What’s the matter with you people! Don’t you know we’re conservatives? We’re supposed to be mean and evil and hate-filled! If we go praying for her recovery it will completely blow our MO! /s
They even doped her and ‘brought her out’ when they wanted, thought they had it timed for Obama’s visit, but missed the mark, so Pelosi and WassermanShultz were there instead.
All propaganda moves.
However, I can't help but imagine her propped up in bed with the DNC controllers hovering around her showing “Clockwork Orange-esque imagery of antiAmerican and anti TEA Party propaganda.
Perhaps that's the real reason Obama and Pelosi visited...
All praise the messiah !!!
After he visited Giffords she opened her eyes for “ the very first time “ and was healed !!!
She is doing miraculously well. I’ve heard one of the neurosurgeons state thus. The national news has been a bit over the top in covering this story, but I don’t blame local media for following Gabby’s condition so closely. A lot of the local media know her personally. I had not read any news stories from the online news source, www.TucsonSentinel.com, until my daughter mentioned it. The reporter covering these stories seems to have better sources than the national media. Of course, local people in the “small” community of Tucson know these doctors and politicians and general population. Tucson has some great doctors!!!
Me too.
Thank goodness for the intervention of the annointed one./s
Obummer will screw it up somehow.
Wonderful news!
She is doing very well by all accounts. The only thing that I’ve not seen in all the reports is whether or not she can see, unless I’ve missed that piece of info. Brain injuries can cause visual problems. My husband sustained one in Iraq, a penetrating injury to the right side and the docs at Walter Reed picked up visual field loss right away. His vision is still an issue to this day and it seems to me to be degrading faster than it normally would have....he cannot see unless lighting is really bright. My cousin also sustained a brain injury from an accident, he was run over literally, and he is completely blind. She’s in my prayers because there can be so many effects from a brain injury that are life changing. I think her survival has been a miracle...I know a couple miracle cases, like my husband. We were told he should not be walking and talking, much less be alive, but he is! She’s also lucky/blessed that the docs had so much experience, especially Dr. Rhee who had served in Iraq and Afghanistan and had
experience with brain injuries in combat. Praying for her full recovery!
I am grateful the liberal nut scumbag was not successful at murdering her. I have no love for this woman as far as she is an hardcore democrat liberal congresswoman and the things she has voted for. As a person I am glad she didn’t die and that she is recovering. I can only hope she will not become more of an enemy to us, but rather have her eyes opened and repent of her past and get on the life and freedom side of issues.
(We're four months from our Golden -- and my wife's hugs still "light me up!")
:-)
Excellent. I hope she recovers enough to live a life that is worthwhile to her.
