Nancy Reagan 'Loved' Ron Reagan's Book; Is 'Proud' of Him, Son Said (Yeah Right....Not)
ABC News ^ | January 18, 2011 | George Stephanopoulos

Despite the family feud that has unfolded over the past few days between Ron Reagan and his half-brother Michael, Nancy Reagan said she is very proud of her son for writing his new book "My Father at 100."

“She was worried about me. She said ‘Are you alright?’ I said ‘Yeah mom, I’m fine... but they are going to ask me what you think of the book. So what should I say to them,’” Ron Reagan said on “GMA.” “And she said, ‘You tell them that I’ve read it, I loved it, it made me cry and I’m very proud of you.’”

In Reagan’s book he notes moments during his father’s presidency which he found troubling and said could have been early signs of Alzheimer’s, such as during one of the 1984 presidential debates with Walter Mondale or when his father could not remember the name of canyons he knew well in California.

So says you, Ron Jr? Putting words in an old ladies mouth... your MOTHER no less.

Nancy was VERY protective of her husbands health. This has to be killing her.

There's something very, very wrong with this guy.

She also said he was an artist when he danced in his underwear on Saturday Night Live. She is his mother and now a very old woman. She was never the brains in the family, ever.

I think it was telling at Reagan's burial when Nancy broke down and Ron and Patty couldn't help her. Mike, the step-son, stepped in and gently led her away.

So he's bragging that his mother told him she likes the book?

I doubt that Nancy said that. If she did however, I can understand why Ron is an absolute s**thead.

Nancy Reagan, sadly, is a nut-case (remember her stance on fetal stem cell research?) and Ron Reagan is a pampered, spoiled mama’s boy. Of course she said it was great. The virtue gradient of that family went through the floor after the Great One died.

Well, I suspect this idiot needed his butt kicked as a pre-teen and teen, and the old man was too busy with this political career to do it.

Our gain!

I am reading the Reagan Diaries- Ron doesn't come out too well in his father's own words. Ron was a spoiled little brat who gave President Reagan troubles over his petty complaints when Reagan was busy saving a nation and the world.

This turd proves that acorns can sometimes sprout light-years away from the tree that produced them.

Sadly, I think Nancy Reagan loves anything her little boy does. As great a President as he was I don’t believe that the Reagans were very good parents. Michael Reagan is not her son and I think that has always been a problem with Nancy. Just my humble opinion!

Yep. He's a hanger-on who ironically profits from the name of the great man he despised and embarrassed. Ron Reagan is the classic example of a human leech.

Ronald Reagan loved that old ranch he was often pictured working at. I would bet money that Ron never broke a nail helping his dad.

She’s his mom and she’s 89 years old. What do you expect her to say?

Blood’s thick. I can see Nancy not wanting to publicly embarrass Ron. He’s an ass, but he’s still her son.

If you had ever witnessed the temper of Ron Jr’s manicurist, you’d understand. Bob

Maybe Nancy Reagan has Alzheimers...or maybe it’s just a mother overlooking the evils of her child.

She’s nearly 90. Of course she’s going to say she liked her little boy’s book, whether she read it or not. Ron jr is just another little MSNBC pissant.

"Mommy likes my book! Mommy likes my book!"

What a goofball. She didn't read it.

Seriously, I can't imagine a single person actually reading this book, including the "author."

The Jane Wyman and Ronald Reagan union brought the only conservative thinkers into Reagan’s nuclear family, their daughter Maureen and adopted son, Michael.

The nucleus changed drastically with new age Nancy (ever the actress), flower child Patti and rebellious Ron, none who ever embraced a conservative thread to their various and sundry narratives. Miraculously, he overcame the drag of their liberalism by his love for Nancy, which kept her quiet during his lifetime, until the flawed stem cell campaign began, and no one paid all that much attention to the tantrums of the kids, thankfully. Patti & Ron never appeared to like their father, but Ron may have despised him. None of these three ever lived up to the legacy of Ronald Reagan, but drew virtually ALL their fame, gain and small sphere of influence from the man himself, as they were all rather empty vessels.

Revealing that Ron the rebellious developes this salacious
detail only to hawk his lead laden book.
