I understand banning firearms ON school property; however, think about some houses sitting next to or across from a school. How about driving by a school to the range? Would there be firearms in your vehicle? Many schools are based in neighborhoods. Would you take away the constitutional right of a homeowner based on what some nitwit did? Just a thought.
