The damage has already begun (Obamacare)

Repeal of ObamaCare can't come soon enough -- as several damaging provisions are set to take effect this year.

For starters, it has effectively stopped the construction of physician-owned hospitals throughout the country.

Section 6001 of the health-care law required physician-owned hospitals to obtain their Medicare certification by the end of last year. Without it, they can't treat Medicare patients. And the facilities needed to be open to get that certification.

So construction halted at 45 hospitals as the New Year arrived. Work on countless others will never start, having been effectively banned by ObamaCare. This will limit competition in the health-care marketplace, driving up costs for patients.

Lets hope that this point will be driven through the black heart of the Death Care bill in the Senate.

Obama lusts after the comprehensive ppower give to the federal giovernment in the Death Care Bill. It must be repealed utterly. And if not, it must be defunded with haste and with a great deal of public prejudice.

Can we blame the American Hospital Association (AHA) for this one?

My annual registration with my company was quite painful. Increases were over 15% and choices were limited more.

It appears my company is positioning itself to offer employees a stipend to turn down company provided health care in an attempt to het “the employee more involved in their own decision making”

Thanks Obama!

I BELIEVE EVERYTHING OBAMA DOES IS INTENDED TO HELP UNIONS!

If these private care facilities are not allowed to open, there will probably be more "business" for existing hospitals which are more likely to be unionized! The SEIU and ACORN both stand to benefit. The SEIU will increase their membership in hospitals and home-care and hospice facilities. ACORN will get funding to provide "training" for interpreters, minimal caregivers, etc.

All Americans need to wake up. The Obama Admin doesn’t actually want to provide healthcare for you......THEY JUST WANT ALL THE MONEY TO SPEND! One sixth of the American economy can buy.......lots of votes!

“Increases were over 15%...”

Blue Cross/Shield raised our monthly cost over two hundred dollars for the same coverage. I assume that will be raised again and again. Just a thought.

Remember all the lies telling us that our rates would actually go down. Hypothetically, I would say even if the whole Health care bill disappeared, our rates would still stay the same with the increase IMHO. In a way, we can’t win either way and that is discouraging to me.

There is such certification already in existence, it's called JCAHO. Without it, any healthcare facility is screwed.

Obama has paced a heavy emphasis on jobs. On Killing jobs.

Yes, but let's be clear. He is only killing NON-UNION jobs, like the ones that might have existed at these private hospitals. He has gone to heroic lengths to save or create UNION jobs. He breathed new life into the UAW with his illegal takeover of GM and Chrysler and he saved thousands of teachers jobs with money from the Stimulus bill.
