“It was the second significant shooting near a Los Angeles-area high school campus Wednesday.”

Does that mean there were insignificant shootings?

Its the “new California”. The one where the demographics have changed. Its the city where the City Manager was making $800K a year. It used to be like Mayberry ( i was born a couple cities over), but its more like south of the border now. Its your democratic block of voters.

I grew up in northwest Ortange County, and I know about Bell and surrounding areas. I have worked in Vernon, Montebello and City of Commerce.

I have a couple of friends from Bell that are in their late 50s, are hispanic, college graduates, parents might have been illegals at that time.

Of course they live in Orange County now.

The process of inner city decay has been going on for decades, all across the country.

As a Californian, if I had to pick a place to visit, between our local hispanic areas versus Oakland or Detroit, call me amigo.

I agree with you, but point out that the reason America thrives vs Mexico is due to some form of honest government which offers a level playing field, and steady economy to invest in. That is not so in Mexico, where Governmetal corruption is rampant, and has travelled North. In my opinion. I grew up in North OC, but had a Grand father in South Gate.

I clicked your link and saw the map. I went to school very near there when I was a kid. We lived on E 57th street in Maywood. I was in the local Boy Scout troop, which was very active BTW, and played Little League baseball there. It was a mostly white, working class neighborhood then. I walked to school and played in the band.

Our family was like the Cleavers except my Dad was a blue collar guy.

We moved out to the San Gabriel Valley in ‘62

I guess things have changed.

It’s called the rule of law. The US has it. Mexico doesn’t. It’s why they run like hell to get out of the place. I hate Mexicans for their stupidity, their criminality, their arrogance , their contempt for my nation, it’s laws and it’s people. The Good Lord gave Mexicans a beautiful and rich land. They ought to try making it work instead of destroying ours.
