The timing of the raid and the announcement was meant to try to take the visit of the leader of China off the top of the news list, in terms of opinions and questions that could be asked about China and our relationship with China; instead the visit will be reported, without much comment, so more time can be devoted to the “achievement” of O’s Justice Dept.
[Most likely the raids are the final act in a many-years long process of building the cases.]
