In the real world, if you NEED a reload you have already failed the First Rule of Pistols: A handgun is for defense only. You use it to get away from a gunfight.

Visualize being caught in the Rodney King riots. Now visualize having to leave the danger zone on foot. How much ammo would you need?

More than you would have been carrying. If you saw the warning signs and armed yourself appropriately, you would have been carrying a rifle or shotgun with the ammo you need. If the riot sprung up suddenly without any warning and you only had your concealed handgun, you’d be carrying one and maybe two spare magazines.

I never said that reloading is wrong. I only stated that the first rule of handguns is that you use it to get away from a gunfight. Tactical reloads and tactical training does not turn you into a person that can put down a riot with a handgun. Only a Texas Ranger can do that.
