Copied from a post I made on BigJourmalism a few days ago, but relevant to your comment.
I’ve always believed we, the right thinking conservatives of America, have the ticket to beat the media and leftists by the simple use of our wallets, yet we never use it.
Sure the left has their sugar daddy’s who have no problem spending millions to spread progressive garbage but how long can it last if viewer’s stop watching and start boycotting the companies that advertise on the programs?
How long before Hollywood is forced to stop making movies filled with leftist propaganda if theaters are empty and nobody is renting the trash when it goes to video?
Could newspapers and magazines survive if conservative Americans cancelled their subscriptions in mass?
How long could HBO keep Maher on the air if millions cancelled their subscriptions to their services and boycotted their other ventures (boxing, movies etc).
How long before advertisers sick of taking it in their profits, start demanding changes?
Would life be boring without movies, newspapers, television shows etc? Maybe for a while, although there are plenty of books to read written by conservatives, movies to watch produced, directed and stared in by conservatives who either keep politics out of it or eschew liberal propaganda. It wouldn’t be long until mass media, the MSM, entertainment divisions etc etc were forced to make drastic changes or go the way of the dinosaur.
We have the power to do this yet we never use it.
(Oh and SO LONG Olbie ya douchebag liberal scumbag traitor.)
REnted a moveie for the first time from VUDU the other night. Ann Benning and Julianne Moore are in. Can’t remember the title of the film, but it was 4 our of 5 stars.....and hyped as a “Modern Day American Suburban couple raising a pair of teenagers etc.”
Sounded fun to my girlfriend and me so I rented it.
Within the first 45 seconds of the actual film, we see Benning and Moore kissing, followed soon after in bed with one going down on the other, while one of the kids walks in.
I turned off, obviously I didn’t pick up on the code words “modern suburbian couple etc”.
I’m going to see if they’ll give me my money back.
My point here is, this movie was a rag. I doubt very much it made any money.
And no doubt would have been funnier if the couples were like Bob HOpe and Lucy...recented divorced and now starting a new life with each other’s kids.
