Congresswoman Michele Bachmann (R-MN) was in Des Moines, IA yesterday and wrapped up her busy day that got off to a somewhat rocky start with a speech at a reception hosted by Iowans for Tax Relief that had approximately 190 people in attendance. She noted that her trip to Des Moines has sparked a lot of speculation about 2012. She said that she had an announcement to make for those of us in the audience.

Will America Endure?

I think the first question is, "What is America?"
This nation bares little relationship to the one in which I grew up and almost none to that of my father.

What will she look like 100 years from now?

There is a calmness about Michele Bachmann. She is a thoughtful and true conservative.

No kidding, she is simply imperturbable, steady, mind fixed upon the salient issues, and has NO pompous pride or narcissistic self reflection.

Chris Matthews used to have her on his show all the time, because he couldn't stand her --- that's how I got to be familiar with her, and I was very impressed with how she was totally impervious to all his attempts to ridicule & lampoon her --- all his attempts to rile her became a reflection upon his own vileness, LOL

The ONLY time I've ever seen anything remotely "catty" was so utterly unexpected, and it was SO funny, so very very very funny --- I can't remember when I've laughed so hard.

Rep. Michele Bachmann is the ONLY individual currently incarnate who is so fearless that she directly inquired of Mr. Matthews something like, "And how's that tingle up your leg now, Chris???"

It was SO extraordinary, LOL!!

If you mean by “she” Michelle B. I reckon she will look like most dead people do in a hundred years. IF you mean America— Unless the Creator raises up champions like Charles Martel—
or George Washington-and his peers— In other words if America keep choosing for her leaders corrupt men who serve themselves and do not rule in fear of God(As Noah Webster taught his students back in 1833 they had a solemn duty to do-choose just men who would rule in fear of God. ) Unless we stop electing Idiots and grafters I doubt America can survive even 25-let alone 100.

I am not an optimist in this regard.

I was reflecting on the recent inauguration stories about Ronald Reagan thirty years past. There was a man who had so much respect for the oval office and what it symbolized that he never entered the Office without a jacket and tie.

Less than 15 years later, the Office was so disrespected that it became the pleasure pit of a man whose only concern for the Office was that in it he could satisfy his libido inside of it.

Now in it resides a man who has absolutely no regard for the Country and the Office as being anything special- and uses the the furniture to rest his feet upon.

So Michelle has reason for concern.

It's ok..I'm the worstest speller in the world. It felt kinda good in an evil way to point at an error for a change rather than be pointed at. Forgive me?

Oh and Sarah should "Knight" someone. I see her as a timeless heroine..not a simple President.

Endorse Sarah for what? She's not running for anything.

Why does every thread on FR somehow have to revolve around Sarah Palin. Sigh.

You missed my point. America is comatose and has been so for a very long time. The victiim of a slowly metastisizing corruption of leadership and an inattentive citizenry. Like Dorian Grey’s portrait, today she is an ugly, rotting, shadow of her former self. The ‘IDEA’ of America, Liberty, Equality, Justice, Opportunity, Republic, still lives in millions of hearts; mine included. But sadly, with each passing year the chance she will awaken grows more dim.
