If it’s not it is just another example of putting lipstick on a pig.

They're manufactured by Knights Armaments and appear to be a highly accurized AR-10 variant. So it seems that Eugene Stoner was right all along.

What mount you using for the M1A Marine ?

I have one with a brookfield mount and wanting to build another yet cash flow prohibits the buy of another original brookfield even if they can be found. Smith Enterprises is my plan. You have one that stays put I’d like to know the brand , model etc...

I got some advice from a wise old Platoon Sergeant about fair once. I think his exact words were "F*** fair."

Smart guy that old Sergeant.

Not at all. The AR-10, that this is based on, came before the M-16/AR-15. Invented first, so to speak. Downsized to the 5.56mm/.223 later on. The original .308 has been around a long time, just now coming into it’s own...........

Mines an original one made by Springfield Armory, aluminum I think, with a nice heavy phosphate coating on it. I don't believe they make them any more.

I was looking at one of those titanium Sadlak jobs, but those things are really, really pricey.

There's a captive wave washer on mine that holds things nice and tight, at least for as much shooting as I do.
