There is a thing about NLP techniques is that one has to have a belief in the speaker before you can really be influenced. If you are a core skeptic, you don’t allow a mindless listening, so instead, you are more critical to see patterns instead of being influenced by them.

Back in ‘08 sometime I listened to the bastard for the first and last time (not counting where TV and Radio jips him faster than I cab switch off for two years now)

And I actually was jealous of his ability to cobra-sway anybody he spoke to. Jealous in that we didn’t have anybody on our side that could mesmerize.

Sarah is a more natural mesmerizer. But with natural truth and decency. Note how the left can’t resist her, even though their paychecks depend on them doing so.
