The only conservative, in that race, is Fred White, a write-in candidate. He’s pro-tax cuts, pro-spending cuts, pro-gun rights, and anti-illegal alien. His site is www.fredrick-k-white.com.

“One of the two Illinois Appellate Court judges who reversed the residency board’s decision to keep Rahm Emanuel on the ballot has an election stumble in his past. Judge Thomas E. Hoffman joined Judge Shelvin Hall in the majority decision. The dissenting judge was Judge Bertina Lampkin.”

Thomas E. Hoffman
Thomas Hoffman was born in 1947 in Chicago. He received his
B.B.A. degree from Loyola University and his J.D. degree from
The John Marshall Law School. He was appointed an associate
judge in 1984 and elected a circuit judge in 1988. Judge Hoffman
was assigned to the Appellate Court in 1993 and elected to the
court in 1994.

Shelvin Louise Marie Hall was born in 1948. She received her
B.A. degree from Hampton University and her J.D. degree from
Boston University School of Law. She was appointed a circuit
judge on the Cook County Circuit Court in 1991 and elected to
the court in 1992. Judge Hall was assigned to the Appellate
Court in 1999 and elected to the court in 2000.

Bertina Lampkin was born in 1948 in Chicago. She received her
B.A. degree from Roosevelt University and her J.D. degree from
DePaul University College of Law. She served as an associate
judge from 1987 to 1992 and as a circuit judge from 1992 to
2009 on the Cook County Circuit Court. Judge Lampkin was
appointed to the Appellate Court in 2009.

Ed Burke’s in the driver’s seat, now. If Rahm gets on the ballot he’ll owe Ed over a 4-3 decision.

Let’s see, he’s already quit his cozy White House job...now this ‘guaranteed’ job has fallen through...has Rahm Emanuel just become one of Barack Obama’s 10% unemployment VICTIMS?!?!

SCHADENFREUDE. TO THE NTH DEGREE.

You know those Hitler movies on YouTube that show Adolph having a huge conniption fit over miscellaneous subjects? Something like that, I imagine. ;-)

Only dead fish are involved.

Exactly, from what I hear and have read, with enough money anything is possible in Chicago.

Another good one from John Kass the only conservative on the Chicago Tribune:

Oh, c’mon, c’mon, Emanuel a victim? That’s a stretch
Karma’s a stitch, and payback’s a truth of politics

John Kass

Rahm Emanuel as a poor innocent victim of ruthless insider Chicago politics?

It seems to be the approved narrative. Especially now that he’s been knocked off the mayoral ballot in Monday’s ruling by the Illinois Appellate Court because he didn’t meet the state’s residency requirements.

Now Rahm will have to troll for sympathy, and demand that the rights of the people be respected. You know, the regular folks. Guys like the Daley boys, and big donors from New York and Hollywood.

It’ll be a hard sell, Rahm as the victim, but he’ll have to try. Victim status is critical to applying pressure and getting back on the ballot.

Even as the official storyline unfolded Monday, I couldn’t stop picturing Rahm in a different setting.

He’s wandering a corridor, anguished and alone. He smacks himself on the forehead, repeating the same line.

“Why the heck did I ever rent out the house? Why the heck did I ever rent out the house? Why the heck …”

The rent for his house on North Hermitage Avenue was a little less than $5,000 a month, mere chump change for a guy of Rahm’s means. He made some $16 million as an investment banker shortly after leaving the Clinton White House........
