Bad? I think it’s great. I’d rather see a blundering administration than a powerful political one tied in to Obama.

The irony here is that for once in his self-serving life----Emanuel checked the box "part-year resident" in his original 2009 Illinois tax return (later amended)---truthfully.....the thing that got him in trouble.

Rahm checked off that box truthfully b/c, in his deluded, power-crazed mind, he had no intention of going back to Chicago for a long, long time....after all, no one in their right mind would give up a high-ranking WH COS job to run for a pedestrian job like Mayor of Chicago.

BACKSTORY Then Obama's numbers started diving as the Tea Party ascended. Once beatified as Dem campaign guru, Rahm was given the bum's rush out of Washington before Nov 2010 Midterms----as disaster loomed---in hopes of saving a few Dem seats.

Rahm had committed the ultimate presidential crime---he failed to protect Obama from voters' revenge. W/ Dems out out of power---Rahm desperately needed to show he was still a player---thus the mayoral run.

===========================================

LAUGH BREAK----NEWS STORY Just last week, Chicago mayoral candidate Rahm Emanuel launched his campaign ads in the style of his political foe, Speaker of the House John Boehner -- with crocodile tears.

His first TV spot features a casually dressed Emanuel wearing khakis, T-shirt and leather jacket. Famed tough-talker Emanuel looks into the camera with a slight tear in his eye and expresses love for his hometown city. This isn't the first time Rahmbo shed tears to show a softer side -- he welled up when he announced his resignation as White House chief of staff in October.
