Nobody around our parts had ever even heard of t-ball in 1961.
Perhaps in 1966 or 1967 ?
when “Barry” was five or six ?

according to wikipedia, the first t-ball league was formed in GA in ‘58 and it wasn’t licensed til the ‘70’s.
But it stands to reason that little Barry would need someone to set up the ball so he can hit it, which is pretty much what everyone has done for him his whole life.
