Lebanon - which, however ineffectively, served as something of a brake on Hezbollah, is gone....
Egypt, which has actually been a defacto ally of Israel against Hamas is collapsing... (Mubarak’s son skipping the country is an indicator that things there are worse than is being reported...)
This is not good.....
I know, I know. Thought of you and Bah right away- between Lebanon and Egypt things are looking mighty grim over there.
The majority of American Jews voted for this and they love the muslim.
It's not necessarily bad either.
A stable Islamist regime in Lebanon is a country Israel can deal with, keeping the border stable. And if they don't want to deal they can all be killed.
As for Egypt, that is a FAR more serious matter if, and only if, their stability is threatened by external powers (Iran). If it's simply an internal, people's revolution...it doesn't necessarily equate to the threat.
