They say that Bill Hickok wasn't particularly fast, although he was accurate. I'm told that what made Hickok deadly was that he decided before anyone else did that he was going to kill somebody.

I think that's a vital advantage in armed confrontations.

“Be polite, but be prepared to kill everyone you meet.”

Training makes it easier to make those decisions and make them correctly.

Of course, being UNARMED makes all of that moot.
