Despite the efforts to make it sound extravagant, there's nothing very damning here. The laundry list of bottles at the end of the story is an effective rhetorical flourish, but it could have been summarized as "a stocked bar."

And there won't be anything damning when someone on the left writes basically the same story about Boehner, because I assume congressional delegations won't be brown-bagging it in the 112th Congress.

After 9/11 it was an executive branch decision that the Speaker be transported by military aircraft. Hastert took that to mean a lear or small Gulfstream. Pelosi didn’t want to have to stop and wanted to take lots of people with her and was demanding a 757.

A while back there was a story ran about pelosi and her plane. pelosi would keep her 757 on standby for every Friday afternoon. Ground crew and air crew had to be ready to go when the princess decided to go back to cali. Sometimes she would call to cancel her plans and sometimes she would not. Her elitism has no bounds.

Have to agree, her silliness isn’t necessarily out of dislike for the military (altho she almost certain feels that way) but rather like Barry, its all about her. Its 24x7 Nancy in her world.
