Moran: GOP won in 2010 because 'a lot of people' don't want black president (BARF ALERT)
The Washington Post ^ | 2011-01-27 | Ben Pershing

Rep. James P. Moran Jr. (D-Va.) is once again drawing attention for making controversial comments to the media, after the told the Arab television network Alhurra that the GOP won in November because many Americans don't want a black president.

In the interview, which has been flagged by the Weekly Standard and The Washington Post's Jennifer Rubin, Moran said that Democratic losses in the 2010 elections ...

... happened because of the same reason the Civil War happened in the United States. The Civil War happened because the Southern states, particularly the slaveholding states, didn't want to see a president who was opposed to slavery. In this case a lot of people in this country, I believe, don't want to be governed by an African American, particularly one who is inclusive, who is liberal, who wants to spend money on everyone and who wants to reach out to include everyone in our society. That's a basic philosophical clash.

The people in the 8th District of Virginia want a wife-beater as a congressman.

He left the question of “why did they vote for him in 2008” for another interview.

Does Jim Moron not know that Obama isn’t up for re-election until 2012?

This was nothing more than an exercise in propaganda.

The country doesn't dislike Obama because he's black... we dislike him because he's Red.

The problem that Moran doesn’t see is that this guy may have ruined it for any other black to run for the Oval Office for a long time. Looking at who he surrounds himself with and the black caucus, would you trust them? Remember the old saying “Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.”

The media equates love of the Constitution with this sort of defamation of character by characterizing both as "controversial".

Nothing controversial about this. Self serving lies are not "controversial". Smearing one's own countrymen to a foreign press is not "controversial", its contemptible.

When a senator does it it should be impeachable. Should be.

Oh so, I see:

We want Black athletes.

We want Black actors, erh, Halle Barry.

We will cry out loud for Colin Powell or Condoleeza Rice to run.(No more now that we know their positions)

We will elect blacks to the Congress or Senate.

But we have some weird glass ceiling for the Presidency?

Retards. We don’t even think of race until you bring it up.

Lamo’s. Why should ones race even matter?

It’s actually called a bad budget. When states are losing incredible employment, yet there is a demand for “green jobs”, where does the tax revenue come from? Of course one who justifies loads of national debt and stimulus spending would understand that (/Sarc)

The same people Congressman Moran believes do not want a black president would be the very first people to cast their ballots for:
1) Thomas Sowell
2) Walter Williams
3) Herman Cain
4) Allen West

Only the left see color...we conservatives see content and that’s what separates US from THEM...

You know, this gives rise to a riddle in reverse:

Q: If "Obama" is the answer, what's the question?

A: "What's black and white and RED all over?"

BS! I'd support Allen West or Herman Cain with all the effort I can offer.

The marxists have to keep playing the race card, it's about all they have left.
