GRAVILLE -- School administrators are investigating a young student's "kill list" containing the names of 62 schoolmates in the Granville Central School District. Police say the 12-year-old girl confessed to writing the list. She has been charged with misdemeanor aggravated harrassment, and was suspended from school for five days. The schools Superintendent Mark Bessen tells CBS6, "It was a group of students that she felt made her life difficult in school or she felt she had issues with." He went on to say, "It's 2011. If you have a 'Kill List' you have to deal with it in a safe manner and have to be proactive to ensure the safety of all students." The seventh grader will attend a Superintendent's Hearing tomorrow where she could face further disciplinary charges.

thought police hard at work.
The punk kid should be expelled.
Of course if the list had been titled,
People I’d like to F**&. they would have
said she was getting in touch with her
inner self and exploring her womanhood.
Again, with 62 people on it, I’d say
she had a long way to go.
But only if the list contained girls only.
Is it a list of those who bullied her?
If so, they seem to punish the bullied equally with bullies these days
She was ambitious!
Very sad girl..I wonder what kind of life she has is those people horrasing her..
Take this FOX poll on banning the American Flag in schools..
Fox is running a poll about whether the flag should be banned in schools in order not to inflame Hispanic students. The poll is being sandbagged by SEIU and we should mount a counter action if you agree with me that the flag should be taken down for no one.
Moveon.org, funded by George Soros, Organizing for America , and SEIU, “Service Employee International UNION”, have been twittering today to go to Fox Poll and vote to BAN the Flag and right now it is still working (18%).
It’s time to SHOW THEM WHAT TRUE PATRIOTS BELIEVE!!!

lol
LOL thats true, its an adage I live by
My list is bigger than hers. /S
horassing sounded funnier and even funnier when the “g” is dropped:
horassin’
I assume, since they didn’t mention it, that she doesn’t come from a Republican or Tea Party family.
I was looking for that, but they kept saying it said “Kill List”. Regardless, the super himself said “this 12-year old doesn’t understand the power of the words she uses”. And although right there pretty much admitting that she probably didn’t REALLY mean to KILL here classmates, she could face a year’s suspension!?
Agreed it needs to be looked into further in case the girl is a harm to others (or herself). I get on my kids for saying “I hate someone”. Although they still say it, once in awhile.
I imagine this was more what the girl was thinking. And it was “found in her notebook”. Was she showing it to everyone? Was she reading it out loud to everyone? Or did someone find her notebook, open it up to see who’s it was and saw the list? Regardless, I think that a list like that does not constitute “harassment” if she did not mean for someone to see it. But - I’m not a lawyer.
Anyway, look into it and see if there is any real threat. Probably just a “List of people I don’t like”. Then get her some help. Of course some of these kids are probably bullies and need to be dealt with. But not 62 bullies. If a child has that many “enemies”, it might have something to do with the child lacking in social skills or what have you.
I’m sure if I had wanted to I could have come up with a list of 62 people back in school that didn’t say hi, bumped me in the hall, made a joke at my expense, teased me, or whatever. But really, I could have cared less. Well, except for one guy - but I got him back :)
You’re entitled to your opinion, certainly. From my perspective it’s more like school administrators are in training for top positions in the Gestapo.
Well ... ok ... who’s on the list?
You’d think the kid would have created her list on a computer and encrypted the contents.
