REAGAN COUNTY - An illegal immigrant remains in jail after Reagan County sheriff's deputies say he had a sexual relationship with a teen.
20-year-old Caesar Villegas-Meza is facing charges of sexual assault of a child.
His arrest came after a six week investigation.
Deputies tell NewsWest 9, Villegas-Meza was involved with a 16-year-old girl.
Villegas-Meza is an illegal immigrant and was in Big Lake on a visitation visa.
Villegas-Meza faces up to 20 years in prison for the felony charge.

I think that would be the case if he were like 18 or 19 in Texas he may of went without charges, if he were only a few years older, but 4 years older went well past the limits and at 20 he must have enough wisdom to know that eye candy equals jail bait at 16.

My great-grandparents married four days after my g’grandmother’s 17th birthday. What they did before that is their business.
My parents are 7 years apart. Mom was 18 & married over a year when I showed up.

16 is NOT a child, by any stretch of the imagination, no matter how much the nanny-staters among us want to infantilize young adults. It’s almost like they (nanny-staters) want to vicariously relive their idealized youth, even though they are ruining the lives of strangers.
The age of consent in Texas is 17 (Texas Penal Code Section 21.11). However , “...It is an affirmative defense to prosecution under this section that the actor...was not more than three years older than the victim and of the opposite sex...(and) did not use duress, force, or a threat against the victim at the time of the offence” and is not a registered sex offender Section 21.11 .. You can take it up with Texas, this is what their laws state. Rio Grande Valley Sector – Border Patrol agents discovered one AK-47 rifle, three M-4 rifles, two hand grenades, magazines, ammunition, tactical gear and military uniforms abandoned near Fronton, Texas.
Tucson Sector – Border Patrol agents arrested an illegal alien from Mexico near Sasabe, Arizona. Records checks revealed the subject had a prior felony conviction for lewd acts with a child under the age of 14 using force, and had been previously removed from the United States.
Tucson Sector – Border Patrol agents arrested an illegal alien from Mexico near Douglas, Arizona. Records checks revealed the subject had a prior felony conviction for rape of a victim under the age of 17 in the state of New York, and had been previously removed from the United States.
The year is 2011, let kids be kids, there is plenty of time for them after they are. 18, no problem.
