Why this guy has a program is beyond me. He is the WORST interviewer I’ve ever heard. He ask a question 5 different ways, then answers it himself...what planet???

I'd agree with Matthews if these riots had happened during or shortly after Bush's presidency but
its been more than 2 years since George W.Bush left office. Its simply impossible to maintain a pent up anger that long.
Also, isn't 0bama the president that was supposed to make the world love us in the wake of the Bush presidency? Two years, later and folks are still angry at us...I don't think you can blame that on Bush.
There is as much chance that Harry Truman and Dwight Eisenhour are to blame for this because of Operation Ajax back in 1953 Iran when the USA helped to overthrow Mohammed Mossadeq and re-install the Shah of Iran. But Chris Matthews probably is ignorant of that event.

this is all about the high poverty and unemployment rates in Egypt along with continued disgust with the corruption of the government. In that case, these Egyptians are going to love their life under Muslim Brotherhood rule. Their standard of living will improve to nearly that of those in the Gaza Strip.

Actually I think the link to Bush is accurate - it's the characterization and the misrepresentations that ruin the narrative. Bush did expect that a democratic Iraq would lead to revolutions in the middle east. So did Condi. Will they turn out OK? Who knows?
OTOH, if this all turns out well then the Bush meme will disappear and the Obama the Foreign Policy Master meme will emerge - just more O-magic brought to you by the MSM.

Just throwin this out there - feeling generous...
A “news” show that immediately follows the CM boondogle with the sole purpose of refudiating everything he says.
Kind of like a “point counterpoint” type of thing.
Gotta go all in tho. Can’t just say well, hannity , levin, rush will refudiate.
Show needs to be called something to call out Matthews. Something provacative

Chrissy blamed Bush but that is only one part of his 3-legged, evil trifecta. The Thrill Boy is hard at work figuring out how to bring Sarah and Michele into the blame game over Egypt.

So let me get this straight. Egyptians are mad at the U.S. because George Bush toppled a dictator in Iraq and gave its people the opportunity for freedom and democracy. All of this happened the better part of a decade ago.
But Obama's Cairo speech, where he slammed America had no influence.
Makes sense to me.

As someone who used to watch Matthews every night for years. Up until 4 or 5 years ago, he simply got to be too much.
I really think Matthews has mental issues, he has always leaned a little left but he was not in full blown moonbattery until the Bush's second term.
He used to be rational in his commentary at one point.
I think his diabetes is rotting his brain away
