Robert Redford is one of the main opponents of a plan by the Pacific Union College to build an eco-village in Angwin, California. The college says it needs the funds because of a dire financial situation.
The village is close to Redford’s vineyard in the Napa Valley. However while publicly opposing this development “to preserve the rural heritage” Redford has been quietly selling development lots in the Sundance Preserve for $2 million. These lots are intended for vacation homes close to Redford’s Sundance Ski Resort.
A short film Robert Redford Hypocrite which has just been released probes the contradictory positions of Redford.
Film director Ann McElhinney said the film is not criticising Redford for selling his property.
"It is great that in a recession Mr Redford can find so many buyers. I am delighted that those houses will be built, creating jobs and vitality in a remote area but it is shocking that Mr Redford would deny others similar opportunities to make a profit and create jobs."

Yeah he’s got that right. But he doesn’t have the right to lecture the rest of us AND do his level best to make his point of view a point of law or regulation for the rest of us.

He has every right to be a hypocrite and we have every right to call him on it.
The really weird thing about liberals is that they never seem to realize what hypocrites they are. They really believe they are all noble and righteous. Therefore they can never be shamed. It’s also why they NEVER hang out with anyone except other liberal hypocrites like themselves.

I took over a Fed contract in 1997 for tv production services. My first task was to log raw footage of an interview with Redford taken at his home, about NPS issues. He was smarmy, arrogant, elitist, and rude to the interviewer and camera crew. The interviewer was obviously nervous and intimidated.
Please, God - thank you for my many blessings You have given me, especially in befriending so many great celeb level talent - but please PLEASE give me just ONE “Robert Redford” type to interview or meet before I retire... PLEASE!!!!
I live in SO Cal. Millions of know-nothing, hateful liberals here. I learned to despise them in the early 70s.
What a waste of time trying to get this to play. And then when it did play it was shockingly amateur. The “film” consisted basically of two sentences: Robert Redford says one thing. Robert Redford does the other. Doesn’t everyone know that? I thought I was watching a grade school weekend project.
