Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton is flying to Haiti to mediate in a political crisis there while other administration officials are keeping watch on violent protests halfway across the world in Egypt.
Clinton will meet Sunday with President Rene Preval and the three candidates vying to succeed him during her visit. She will also see a treatment center for the cholera epidemic that has killed almost 4,000 people.

Yep, Egypt is in flames and she’s going to Haiti. I thought bill was in charge of that Caribbean paradise.

Maybe hillary is going to haiti to check on her errant husband, willie. Slick willie has been in charge of taking donations from the misguided and doing some kind of money transfer (not to the poor and so forth) to the powerful there. Surely, he has “dabbled” with a haitian woman or two.

Well, can’t same I blame her after the way President Zero snubbed her at the SOTU snorefest. I guess as far as the Clintons are concerned now, Zero made his bed, now he can lay in it.
I don’t believe she chose to go to Haiti. She serves at the direction of the President. Nothing good will come of events now unfolding in the ME. In sending Hillary to Haiti, the administration will have the perfect scapegoat, and eliminate a political rival at the same time, for 2012 and beyond. I’d be surprised if she doesn’t resign in the coming week. If she doesn’t, her political future is toast.

I think I read this was a pre-planned trip. It does seem in the middle of an international crisis she could postpone- but I guess a couple of hours on the ground down there won’t alter the course of history.
Hillary doesn't decide her own agenda; the POTUS decides her agenda.

This is absolutely eggregious, and tantemount to a national security blunder, sending the Secretary of State to the Carribean while Egypt burns & falls.....
