What a better way to get everyone together and explain the game plan? I see this a lot, rather than openly court the other players, whom under the watchful eyes of subordinates, just “arrest” them to get them alone.
Plausible for sure.. but does the army, their families and all who belong to that class really want to live with Sharia? Do they really need the MB populist rhetoric to retain power.. or is the army so far gone that they’re willing to throw what freedoms they have away for some deal with the devil.. doesn’t the average Egyptian know the plight of their Iranian cousins? Are they stupid enough to be lead around by the MB hate speech.. I guess these are rhetorical questions.

Just my gut feeling, but I think there will be all-out war against Israel in 2012.

That’s exactly right... and if Zero fails to STRONGLY supporting the army, half the wealth of the county will be confiscated and the westernized Egyptians and our allies will be massacred. Now we’re hearing that 20K or so radicals have been sprung from jail.. I assume it’s radical elements in the army doing this. I’m sure the Israelis are absolutely frantic over what is sure to be an enormous multiple front war.

Well, it’s not looking good for Israel, because if Egypt becomes radicalized and they join forces with the Hezbollah-controlled Lebanon in the north and, of course, backed by Iran and others......yeah, not a good scenario.
Good thing Netanyahu is Prime Minister of Israel, though.
