.- Members of the San Diego Fire Department have won a sexual harassment lawsuit against the city for being forced to participate in a local gay pride parade in 2007.
On Jan. 26, the California Supreme Court refused to hear an appeal by the city and instead upheld a lower court ruling in favor of the firefighters.
The move ends a several-year legal legal battle for four firefighters who lodged a complaint against San Diego for being forced to participate in the city’s gay pride parade in 2007. Although the firefighters objected numerous times to taking part in the event, the fire department disregarded their complaints and ordered them to dress in full uniform and drive their fire truck in the parade.
According to legal group Alliance Defense Fund, the four claimed they were sexually harassed through obscene gestures and cat calls at the event, which also featured displays of graphic images and behavior.
On Oct. 14, 2010, less than a week after hearing an oral argument, the California Court of Appeal for the Fourth Appellate District upheld a jury verdict ruling that the firefighters should not have been mandated to take part in the parade.
“We hope this ruling will end the city’s attempts to defend its act of compelling people to participate in sexually-charged events against their moral and personal convictions,” said Alliance Defense Fund Senior Counsel Joseph Infranco after the October ruling.
Charles S. LiMandri, the West Coast regional director of the Thomas More Law Center and an attorney with Alliance Defense Fund, noted in October that government “employees should never be forced to participate in events or acts that violate their sincerely held beliefs.”

“Oh fireman, show me your hose.” That is what those firemen had to listen to. Can you imagine if a male supervisor ordered female employees to attend a wet tee shirt contest. BTW, the bull dyke fire chief who ordered these firement to attend the sodomy festival retired at about age 50 with a six figure pension.

Good news, but if I had been one of those firemen, I would have flat out refused to participate in the parade in the first place. And if they would have threatened to fire me for not participating in such a parade, then I wouldn’t want to work for that fire department anyway.
Many teachers are for “Screw Someone’s Daughter” Day. As well as “Hope Someone’s Son Knocks me up” day. It’s getting to be an epidemic in public schools.

Would the city also have forced them to march in a neo-Nazi or Klan rally?
I was talking more about teachers viewing the student body as their own personal sexual smorgasbord menu for their own perverted appetites, but I understand that what you are mentioning is a real problem too.
Why does anyone think having a bunch of strangers talk to your kids about sex is a good idea? Really? In today’s age? With the perverts out there, workign in the schools, with the pro-gay folks preaching in the schools, where’s the net benefit? Why force sex discussions on 1st adn 2nd graders?
It’s time to start telling schools and teachers and administrators to go to hell. Really. To shut the hell up about certain things, to keep their own liberal views to themselves or you’ll go somewhere else. tell them to eff off (which is literally what some are doing at work every day).
Nevermind strangers. Why would anyone think that a teacher who can't effectively teach simple priciples like basic Math and English, would be any more effective at teaching something as complex as sex?
They want it to start in Kindergarten and remember they want it have a pro-sex message. (look up the Sex Positive “movement”- probably tax funded) that actually want little kids having sex.

and another thing, the schools will flat out lie to parents about what they are teaching. There was a story out of Houston where an elementary school was holding a “conference on TASS” or something (a new state test) but it turned out to be a conference encouraging them to have sex. “Sssshhhh don’t tell your parents” is part of perverted sex-ed for a reason.
Like I did.
I may need to add the "Shhh, don't tell your parents" -type talks ALWAYS get reported to the parents. Would fit in with my "Your Integrity is Paramount" talks.
