What part of “Shall not be infringed” is confusing to so many people?

Let's see, we have a president who refuses to even release his damn BIRTH CERTIFICATE, but we need background checks for a right guaranteed by the 2nd Amendment of the US Constitution?

No effing way.

Check for criminal records.

Can you articulate any reason for believing that background checks will not illegitimately be used for the purpose of abridging the RKBA of people who have never been convicted of any crime whose punishment, at the time of the conviction, included the forfeiture of such rights?

“All” sales? How the heck are you supposed to enforce something like that? There is no way on God’s green earth that you could reasonably expect something like that to work between private parties.

I think that private sales are up to the seller’s best judgement, but have you ever sold a firearm in a private sale to someone unknown to you?

Yes? Any other Constitutionally protected rights you want to infringe on?

Getting a gun isn’t hard for criminals. The only real purpose of a background check is to create a paper trail of the transaction.
