MB will push until violence breaksout. The military will step in hard.

MB wants women and children hurt, injured and killed for the media to show around the world.

This plays well for Zero and his muslim friends.

“Democracy” is not a Republic based on the recognition of certain inalienable political rights. Its mob rule.

The English forefathers of America - not their degenerate socialist descendants - experimented with democratic and republican ideas for a very long before the Constitution and Declaration of Independence were written.

In some societies and cultures there has been no prior experience of self-rule and any “democratic” movement inevitably leads to the mob just selecting a new master.

My guess is this is what is happening in Egypt right now. They are unhappy with the present dictator due to miserable economic conditions and brutal oppression, and will exchange their old master for a new one.

Its the Islamic way as Islam is totally incompatible with a Republican concept of government based on individual rights, which is the only successful form of “democracy”.

UP UNTIL NOW, the U.S. has been the most successful practitioner of this, and Egypt is no more likely to produce a real Democracy than was the France of Robespierre or the Russian government of Kerensky.

I know how you feel. It seems that everyone I have known in my not so distant past is a supporter of this radical racist. Just know this... this is how they want you to feel: isolated, alone, depressed. You are not alone. Follow your moral compass as it won’t ever steer you wrong. And if they start to depress you, find some new friends and just hang out with the others less often. That’s what I have done. And I never bring up politics when I’m around them.

Easy to say. Said it before. Hard to do.

Dude’s been my friend for YEARS. Was a groomsman in my wedding. It’s only recently that we’re coming up against this problem. I don’t know -exactly- where he stands on certain points, only that he’s an Obama supporter. No clue how much of one anymore, but he certainly isn’t anti-Obama. I haven’t figured out how to broach the topic.

He is literally the ONLY friend in this area that I am concerned about losing. All the others can kiss my tuchas.

Maybe the Obama administrations rush to take credit for the situation was premature.

"I think we are gonna lose Egypt no matter what, this is a clusterfook on an epic scale."

Egypt, s, was not and is not "ours" to lose. Your comment is an example of the worst sort of American chauvinism.

Actually it sounds like the opposition hasn’t gotten what it wants which is anarchy so the Muslim Brotherhood can step in and save the day.

Many nations stand to “loose” if Egypt isn’t stabilized.

Waiting for the moment when ElBaradei rolls in to assume command. It's obvious from the start that Obama had this outcome in mind from the start. Otherwise, there would have been US ships, Aircraft Carriers and troops already on the ground to keep order and prevent a war from breaking out.

This will now leapfrog down the line to Jordan, and other secular Arab States. The White House WANTS this to happen. They want the MB in power.

Next “goal”; ISRAEL!

Thank you. Nice to see something other than “ditch the lib.”

I know I’m not alone. I come to FR a lot for that very reason. While I often piss off other FReepers, find myself at odds with fellow FReepers, and sometimes want to pull my hair out... I know that when the fecal matter hits the oscillator, THESE are the people I want to stand with.
