My 9-year-old is Sheldon. Anoreth said she couldn’t watch it after a few episodes because it gave her nightmares.

LOL! I had a roommate in college that kind of reminds me of Raj! She was from India—very sweet, very smart, and sometimes gullible. If I had to place one of my kids in those roles, my oldest son would be Leonard.
My husband got me hooked on the show a while back. Now I set the timer for every Thursday night because it’s the only thing on TV that night worth watching!

I found out about it on the NC Forum, and we just started getting the DVDs from Netflix. We’re still in the first season.
My husband is Leonard, and my oldest boy is Raj. Sigh.

3D cinema sucks. You put on these Roy Orbison glasses that cost twenty dollars, over prescription glasses and the screen just looks darker. The only difference is the price.

Likewise, one of the show’s actresses, Sophia Black-D’elia (who plays one of the show’s lesbian characters), was reported to have argued, “It’s what teens are doing. It’s the way teenagers believe [...]”
That’s how she’s justifying her behavior. If she just says everyone’s doing it then it’s ok! Not everyone engages in deviant behavior.. it’s just a small minority of very mentally messed up people.
Glad we don’t have cable anymore. Even when we had it many years ago my husband blocked a bunch of channels and mtv was one of them.

Funny thing about underage crap. Personally, I am into Japanese Anime and a couple of years ago, there was a man in Iowa who ordered some manga from Japan and some of it was perceived to be underage but not porno and the US Gov't through the Postal Inspector's office and Iowa law enforcement decided to make an example of him. Reference
link. The type of stuff this guy got was lolita which I have no interest in. Most of the Anime I like is sci-fi, comedy and mecha including gearhead stuff like cars & motorcycles.
Be interesting to see if MTV gets off even without a slap on the hand !

Dish Online has some free stuff but you get lots more content if you subscribe to Dish Network. I've found with my cable system that there is tons of on demand stuff to choose from. VOD is the future of TV. 3D is just a fad.

I rent DVDs from my library for free. I’ve seen some great movies that I could not easily find at Blockbuster, which doesn’t seem to have a great selection of pre-DVD era films. I just watched Poor Little Rich Girl, a miniseries about the life of Barbara Hutton.
