Here there is an elementary school named for an Alabama woman.
They also have a major street named after a Georgia clergyman, and another street after a man who lived in Mississippi for a number of years before moving to California (Eugene Hilgard--also honored by a building on the UC Berkeley campus...he was actually born in Germany but was a professor of Chemistry at Ole Miss).
