Under the terms of the FCC order approving Comcast’s takeover of NBCU, at least half of NBC’s 10 O&Os have to find a nonprofit news center with which to work within the next year.

Congress shall make no law... abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press...

It seems to me that the media should be free to do this, or not do this, of their own accord. The government cannot force the media to operate with a preferred outlet or lose their business.

I think it could be argued that, since the FCC only holds its regulatory powers based on the law that establishes it as an agency, the Congress has passed a law that's, albeit indirectly, abridging freedom of the press.

Do u think this may be a loophole they’re exploiting ? I’m sure there was a reason 0 studied constitutional law and it appears he didn’t study it so he could be sure it’s followed.

The EPA is now classifying cows milk as oil so they can put more regs on the farmers. More and more control .
