Obama Administration Blocking 103 Gulf Drilling Permits
big government ^ | 2/3/11 | Robert Bluey

Posted on 02/03/2011 1:00:54 PM PST by Nachum

As oil prices continue to climb, a backlog of more than 100 offshore drilling plans for the Gulf of Mexico are awaiting approval from the Obama administration, according to federal data.

The federal government has not approved a single new exploratory drilling plan in the Gulf of Mexico since lifting its deepwater drilling moratorium on Oct. 12. There are currently 103 plans awaiting review by the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, Regulation and Enforcement.

The information reveals that the Obama administration — not the oil industry — is the culprit for the slowdown of drilling activity in the Gulf. The Gulf of Mexico accounts for more than 25 percent of domestic oil production.

“These new findings prove that BOEMRE cannot claim it isn’t receiving job-creating plans from oil exploration and production companies,” said Gregory Rusovich, chairman of the Business Council of Greater New Orleans and the River Region. “The plans are there. Until BOEMRE reviews the 103 plans awaiting approval, our economy’s stability remains in jeopardy.”

Doncha know WE don’t need those jobs, but Brazil does?
After all, how do you think Soros is going to repay that $2 Billion dollar taxpayer loan without those Gulf drilling rigs!!

See, Obama DOES have priorities!

Barry wants oil at $300 a barrel. In his little mind that means magical green energy will burst forth from nothing. As the world gets colder and colder, more and more people are going to start electing and demanding politicians who will let Earth’s energy resources flow.

So Obastard is STILL acting in contempt of court by effectively blocking drilling with an undeclared moratorium.

That son of a bitch needs to be impeached yesterday.

The organ grinder’s monkey is a lawless quisling - every thing he has done has been aimed at the destruction of the economy and our freedom. Shutting down domestic oil & gas exploration and production, leaving in place the gigantic hydra-headed ethanol scam while wasting billions on windmills, solar energy and biodiesel, all at taxpayer and consumer expense - at what point will the people realize that the Kenyan entity’s conduct constitutes pure treason?

In so doing, Obama is personally responsible for thousands to remain unemployed, loss of tax and royalty revenue to the US govt and to states such as Louisiana, and the increase in spending by the citizens of this country by increased prices and payments to foreign governments.

GOP needs to frame what is happening correctly for the world to see.

Obama’s Deep Drilling The Obama Administration Took a $10 Billion Dive into Ultra-Deep Ocean Drilling.

Attempting to deflect blame for their feeble response to the Gulf oil disaster, the administration keeps repeating “Bee-Pee, Bee-Pee” so relentlessly that they can’t get through a paragraph without sounding like the frantically peddling Roadrunner of cartoon fame.

While most of the press has slowly gotten around to criticizing the pathetic containment and cleanup aspect of this gusher, no one seems interested in fact that the Obama administration has a multi-billion dollar investment in deep ocean drilling. Actually, in ultra-deep ocean drilling.

Last August, after a warm personal visit with Brazilian President Lula de Silva, President Obama ordered the US government-controlled Export-Import Bank to extend a $10 billion loan to oil giant Petrobras for the purpose of funding deep water drilling off the coast of Brasil. While BP’s big gusher was drilled an astonishing 5,000 feet under water, the US-funded offshore Brazilian field lies under 7,000 to 9,000 feet of water.

So while restricting US deep drilling, shallow-drilling, and terrestrial drilling, Obama put the US taxpayers on the hook to guarantee a $10 billion loan for ultra-deep drilling by Petrobras, which already controls 80% of the world’s deep-water drilling rigs.

The best part is - this air freshener is permanent. When the aroma fades, just give 'er a splash straight from the bottle.

__________________________________________________________________________________

Yes, while this is true, Houston’s larger machine shops mostly support the big oilfield equipment makers Like Baker-Hughes, Smith International and Schlumberger. Many other smaller OEMs for the energy market are there too.

Currently, deep water exploration drives much of this manufacturing. Allot of this stuff is tubular in shape and big diameter stuff so it takes some pretty big ol lathes to turn those parts.

Mark Levin says that the White House and possibly Justice and DHS are in violation of a section of the U.S. Code 18, somewhere around Section 680’s or so, and that any govt official spending money on healthcare projects can be found guilty of contempt of court for trying to endrun support for an unconstitutional bill.

Also, DOI etc are in contempt re the continuing moratorium on oil drilling in the ban and might also be prosecuted under a contempt of court action.

Let’s hope that some in Congress press these points at scheduled congressional hearings and start to cut off funding for any agency or office that is in contempt of the court.

Hit them where it hurts, in the pocketbook. Obama is out of control and so is Salazar, Holder, Napolitano and Sebelius.

Time to bring the full force of the law down on them, up to and including impeachment.
