Here’s the exchange from the gaggle with reporters aboard Air Force One:

Question: “Does the administration want Mubarak to step down now?”

Gibbs: “I’d refer you to my answer on that yesterday. I think the – I’m not going to get into the private conversations that the President has had with President Mubarak.

White House press secretary Robert Gibbs suggested Thursday that President Obama has asked Hosni Mubarak to resign as president of Egypt now, though he didn’t say it outright——This is the second such article to come out today in the media, they are trying to reshape, what Obama actually said, and Gibbs too. Obama did ask him to step down NOW, and Gibbs said NOW means Yesterday!

Suddenly Politico and Christiane Armanpour is claiming Obama only made ‘veiled’ suggestions, and political saying he never even said it!

Oh, isn’t that cute. The Press Secretary is playing coy with reporters.

Of course, King 0 told Mubarak to resign.

Then, Mubarak told King 0 to stuff it.

Now, WH is trying to paper over the fact.

Good luck.

Imagine back when we were kids and what would have happened if we had told our parents when asked to clean our rooms, “I’d refer you to my answer on that yesterday”.
