EPA will issue climate-rule permits in Texas, feds tell state officials
Texas stands alone among the states in refusing to be involved in implementing the new greenhouse rules, which are scheduled to start taking effect on Jan. 2. Earlier this month, a federal appeals court turned down requests from Texas and other litigants to block the regulations until legal challenges are decided.
Formal EPA action to assume control over the climate-related part of the federally-authorized state permit program will happen “on or about” Thursday, Dec. 23, the federal agency told the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, the state’s chief pollution-regulating agency, in a letter dated Tuesday. The EPA only rarely takes such a step.
Under the new EPA rules, air permits required when large industrial plants are constructed or undergo major changes must include limits on greenhouse gases with other, previously regulated pollutants. The greenhouse regulations will apply to large facilities including power plants and oil refineries. Texas officials estimate that about 167 projects in the state will be affected in 2011.

McCain flipped to the dark side during the campaign when he failed to defend the country by mounting a serious effort to defeat Obama. He acts like he has either completely reprogrammed or has been invaded by the body snatchers.
This disgusting Obama fluff piece intent on Bush bashing says he keeps the WH warm enough to grow orchids because he used to Hawaai.
Once everyone's on the smartgrid, everyone's thermostat gets set from HQ and energy demand goes down!

I do know because of what I do for a living that when your electric bill comes and has a fluff letter saying sign up for this blah blah crap and you will get money (small print says MAYBE 20 bucks) taken off your bill over time....IF you sign up it gives your electric company PERMISSION to black you out in random and prepared energy OFF power rollouts. There is a device that goes on your AC that allows them to turn you OFF if let’s say a hospital or flying Obama unicorn needs powered they chose who they turn off. It looks all cushy and cool like you are getting a deal and called energy efficient COOL thing to do and many fall for it.
