Maybe the guy should have kept his bullet in his shirt pocket like Barney.

Bren ten...that was a pretty good one...okay, trivia question...what famous TV cop carried a Bren ten in a sideways shoulder rig?

It is called “Condition Two” and many shooters won’t carry in that mode.

Yep, that’s why I stick with revolvers.

Curiously enough...

A few months ago I was carrying my Sig P220 Elite in my shoulder “jackass” rig. This is the old “Jackass” rig built by the Jackass leather company, since bought out by the Galco Leather company.

I had just shouldered the rig, and was getting ready to head out... and was sitting down putting on my shoes... when my P220 fell out of the holster, hit my foot, and bounced onto the floor. What bothered me was that it landed smack on the hammer (which was down) and ~cocked~ itself. I picked it up and used the hammer-drop... but it really spooked me. It didn’t fire of course, but it did make me much more attentive now when I lock in the snap on the rig from now on...

I don’t think the USSS uses the DAK trigger, but I’m also not sure if the DAK has a decocker or safety.

I agree, if you have a decocker you should use it. That is how I was taught carrying the P11 in the Navy.

Secret Service Agent Accidentally Shoots Self

In-Freakin’-Credible.
(in the words of Andrew Dice Clay)

Along with the DEA undercover agent that shot his foot in a classroom
and is now suing the US guvmint, we must be hiring some real IDIOTS
into guvmint service these days.

The only reason for a self-inflicted gunshot wound for a guvmint professional
is termination of mental distress. I.E., a sad suicide that ended major
mental suffering.
Along with face-saving reporting that the officer/agent had “an accident”.
