I do not forsee any American troops near the Siani.We are going have to find some troops because we are spread very thin. That can always change though. I do see maybe U.S. naval and American air power if they ask for it. Keep this important historical point in mind. President Nixon put the armed forces on to DEFCON 3 when the Yom Kippur War broke out.

The US has had troops in the Sinai for 30 years as part of the Multinational Force and Observers. Of course, it's only a combat battalion and support troops. Now that I've read up on it seems the Egyptians are allowed several divisions in certain parts of the Sinai while the Israelis are allowed a battalion (I bet they're cussing Carter for that one at this point).

I'm guessing they just observe and will bug out should combat between Egypt and Israel occurs.
