I do not have a “long form birth certificate” but do have an FS-240 which expedited my passport application process.

My US passport was ready within an hour but my siblings who were born in the states had to wait a couple weeks.

And please ping me once the State Department gets back with you on the details of Obama’s “civilian” passport.

The only details they are going to tell you about his “Civilian” passport is that it is blue and has an image of the Great Seal of the United States on the front.

You don't need a long form. The piece of paper Obama showed in 2008 is presumed good enough for most purposes, including getting a passport (I believe the only exception is proving you are a native Hawaiian, in order to get special benefits under racist Hawaiian law). The burden of proof is on those who would question the document, not on him who presents it.
