In news across the border, the bodies of two men tortured and killed, then put on display at one of Nuevo Laredos busy intersections. We have to warn you, you may find these images disturbing.

According to Mexican reports the bodys of these two men were found around midnight in an area on Paseo Colon Boulavard near a hotdog stand. That's where we're told passerbys who spotted the men stopped to try and help them only to discover they were already dead. The men were found in sports clothing with no shoes. A message was placed above there heads blaming the men for violent attacks in the sister city, not specifying when and where those attacks occured.

Anyone else here find the ad above the article ‘Kill your Wrinkles’ just a ‘tad’ distasteful and out of place?

Maybe it’s just me.

Nuevo Laredo was a great place to go back in the ‘80s. We’d head over there over Thanksgiving holiday to load up on gift items for Christmas.

Too bad NL, like much of the rest of Mexico, has descended into a murderous state of complete lawlessness. Soon, these types of killings will become commonplace in our frontline states.

“Vigilantes fighting back?”

My guess would be business competitors.

“Soon, these types of killings will become commonplace in our frontline states.”

They have already started. They will spread quickly too, via the interstate system, to the node cities which are central to narcotics distribution.

Drug competitors? Both were shot once in the back of the head.

“Drug competitors? Both were shot once in the back of the head.”

That would be my first guess. A distant second guess would be a government black ops group. I am not convinced the Mexican government is that organized or competent though.

I used to call on an asphalt company in Juarez (yes, they bought US asphalt) and never felt in any danger. Today, I’m not so sure.
