Palin trails Obama in red Tennessee
Politico ^ | 2/7/11 | Maggie Haberman

Posted on 02/07/2011 12:08:05 PM PST by pissant

Sarah Palin's big problems among the GOP faithful are on clear display in a new poll that shows large numbers of Republicans aren’t sure about her and the tea party darling trails President Barack Obama in a head-to-head matchup in Tennessee — even with the president's job approval numbers running low in the state.

The poll in the solidly red state where she and McCain crushed Obama by 15 points two years ago is a warning bell that Palin, despite her following and appeal to conservatives, remains fairly radioactive to some Republican voters, who are far from convinced she can win in 2012.

I take it you are not a fan of Gov Palin (sarc)?

I guess you cannot support Congressman Bachmann either since her poll numbers (now) show her nowhere close.

What would Sarah Palin do to stop a dust bowl?

The Vanderbilt University poll surveyed 710 people, according to The Tennessean newspaper

They polled 710 blacks and faggots in Memphis, and this was the worst they could do?

Consider the source.

You sound like ‘the sheeple’ buying the bogus polls that are being published for one reason only...to sway weak minded idiots!

Reagan was 30 points behind Carter a year before the election. We are TWO years out! Two years out President H.W. Bush had a 92% approval rating...yet he lost.

It is way too early to put any credence in these polls.

I’ll let you in on a little secret...the establishment Republicans are not afraid Governor Palin would lose, they are afraid she would win and screw it up for Jeb in 2016.

Thanks, Pissant, for the best news about Palin’s candidacy all day. With all the negative media dumbeat, she is only 5 LOUSY POINTS down to the Won? Wow, this is going to be more fun than I thought. 0bama is going down.

“I love the uncommitted style of writing. Palin is “fairly” radioactive to “some” voters. Doesn’t read like a strong news article, just a weak opinion piece.”

... As opposed to our Boy Wonder President. Yeah. A whole bunch of us will be thinking long and hard if we should re-elect Our Dear Leader for another 4 years of destruction.

I wonder if there’s ANYTHING we can do to combat the 24/7 leftist propaganda that masquerades as “objective” media. Too bad Rush is more interested in promoting his stupid golf program than in taking it to the Enemy on their own turf. We really need some convincing voices in the media that can get through to the sheeple... and the fat and happy RINOS that get a regular place on the Sunday shows aren’t going to do the trick.

The media will caricature any GOP nominee, people act like the media will stop fiercely attacking if say Pawlenty or Mitt or Newt is the nominee instead of Palin.... Mitt will be the flip flopper who can’t make tough decisions, Newt will be an immoral man who walked away from his wives, Barbour and Huckabee will be good ole southern boys against a black man Huck will be castigated for releasing a cop-killer

McCain was the medias best friend but as soon as he got the nomination the media turned on him as old, out of touch and that he couldn’t control his race tinged rallies.

“Republicans need to stop throwing her under the bus,, and then maybe she would have a chance”..

EXACTLY!! The grand old f*rts in the grand old party are absolutely eating their young. They are so intent on maintaining their power in Washington and have bought into this one world agenda that the sheer thought of an “outsider” coming into their fold is unthinkable. Why...she just might find out the truth of what they are doing...and have been doing all along. The only ones that will bring Palin into play in this next election is the American people. She can’t count on the very party she continues to support. WE ARE HER PARTY!!

I think there are better candidates out there than Palin. Try Demint, the gov of Indiana (don’t remember his name), Mike Pence of Indiana or Michelle Bachmann-—or even better Herman Cain-a black CEO.
