We are “treated” non-stop about JFK ad nauseum. Every November 22, the newscasts report on the JFK assassination.I would understand if it were some significant anniversary, like 25 years ago, but what’s the significance of the 47th year since it happened?

Most recently just before the SB last night. Michael Douglas’ little speech about how important the SB is to America with accompanying pictures of MLK and JFK were truly wretch-inducing.

You might want to sanitize your keyboard . . . and your mind, after having to think about Angria Mitchell:)

Ironic, since the Super Bowl didn’t even exist when JFK was alive. And not to be mean, but the SB wasn’t a huge deal at the time of MLK’s death in April 1968. It “started” to be a big deal after SBIII when the NY Jets won it. And it wasn’t even called the Super Bowl until a couple of years after THAT. It was called the “World Championship”.

Hey Andrea, you keep Carter and obozo and we’ll keep the original Tea Partier Ronald Wilson Reagan. Shouldn’t you be laughing at him for being a B Actor?

Pray for America

Not a joke - liberals can tell themselves any lie and believe it. Where they mess up is thinking we will believe it, too.

People half as leftist as these current lot hated Reagan’s guts.

You are correct and they made no bones about it either.

NBC’s Andrea Mitchell: “People are trying, republicans in particular,
trying to appropriate Ronald Reagan for their own political purposes now.”

most “journalists” and Democrats need to submit urine samples and
undergo a thorough neurological workup.

If all the results are negative, they we’ll know they are plain
f-ing nuts.
Oh, and/or maybe evil.

Dear Andrea:

We’ll appropriate whom or what we want.

You Dumbs have appropriated JFK long enough.

How about y’all appropriating Jimmuh Carter?

Communists simply know no bounds.

That is why they can never be reconciled with.

That is why they must be broken.

Meanwhile the media ignores the anniversary of Pearl Harbor every year, an event with far more lasting impact on the US and the world than the JFK assassination.

There is proper attribution and respect, then there is appropriation, and also misappropriation.

When conservatives “appropriate” Reagan, they embrace his actual words and ideas on smaller government personal responsibility and American excellence.

When liberals “appropriate” JFK, they do so via cheesy sound bite, never mentioning that he was a tax cutting military hawk anti-Communist.

I don't think it a coincidence that the two most iconic popular Presidents of both parties in the recent past presided over large tax cuts and booming economies.

Tax cuts = booming economy = the President is popular.

. . . and if it comes to that, since 1968 no one with JFK's politics could get the nomination of the modern Democrat Party. So they shouldn't "appropriate" JFK!
