I think you are spot on. BO has tried appropriating Lincoln, FDR, JFK and now Ronny Reagan. History will however remember him only as Jimmeh Cater II.
Yep! JFK was a tax-lowering, vehemently anti-Communist, war hero who was actually FRIENDS with Nixon. Don’t know his positions on gay marriage or abortion, or ruining businesses (besides US Steel) but I’d wager he was more “conservative” than most republicans of today.
Oh, I forgot to mention he was very reluctant to push for “civil rights” legislation because he thought it would lose the South. The racist LBJ did more damage in 5 years than Kennedy did in 2 and a half years.
Ah, and as an NBC News watcher back in the day, how did I forget this? Andrea, not only was your husband a Reagan appointee, you were the freaking White House correspondent for NBC freaking News for substantially the whole of the freaking Reagan Administration. Tell me you haven’t forgotten that, you twit.
