How can the DOJ be involved with this?

Gee, let's see - could it be because the Dems controlled the House for two years and refused to excercise oversight, which has led to the DOJ feeling it can get away with anything?

But there is a new sheriff in town now. That's what I mean - you act like nothing changed last November, but it did in a big way.

The Dems controlled the house ALL because the GOP was so corrupt that America threw them out and somehow you think the GOP has really changed???

They haven’t and you keep thinking...ok I know the GOP will get it right this time...

You are right we don’t have anymore time and that is exactly why the GOP should be doing everything in its power to shut everything down. Don’t fall for the too big too fail scam. It will be ok if the gov’t budgets are shut down - it will force them to make tough choices and the pain will be great but it will for a short duration.

Just like the depression during Coolidge, it was far worse then 1929 but it only lasted for 18 months and then we had the roaring 20’s. This patch crap that both the Dems and the GOP engage in only extend the misery.

Time for Americans to be bold.

Frankly, I think the executive branch has too much power. Executive orders and the executive branch bureauracry with its many czars who rule by fiat have usurped the powers of the legislative branch. We don’t need a king.

The patch crap is all out there now. It will take GOP action to undo at least part of it, such as getting rid of the 1099 provision in Obamacare.

Unfortunately dumping the 1099 requirement doesn’t even being to scratch the surface.

How about eliminating every single progressive program ever created for the last 100 years?

The discussion America needs to have now is: Can man govern themselves?

That is what the founders intended, that is the American Experiment.

Once we have that discussion and the lines are drawn who we want to be elected becomes quite clear and it really isn’t anyone running today (couple of exceptions).

It is going to take a huge change like to make a difference we have to stop rationalizing and continue to be willing to accept what is offered by the elite few - they are counting on us to remain apathetic and just accept what they serve up.

This is happening on our watch, our kids are watching us. They will ask us in the future...why did we let this happen?

The bottom line: We can no longer co-exist with progressives - we need to remove them from power and eliminate their ability to screw over the rest of us. They represent evil and nothing good. Their agenda is a complete and total scam.

we need to remove them from power and eliminate their ability to screw over the rest of us.

So, then, tell us how that happens in real-time. Putting the bell on that cat is a great idea, grasshopper.

How about this - we follow the normal political approach of making progress each election and doing what can be done within each cycle?

Your approach sounds great in principle, but you have utterly no realistic way of doing it the way you envision.

following the normal political process...

How’s that worked out so far? Take a good look around at our country, the world?

The normal political process is exactly why we are where we are. As Reagan said Government is the problem.

Politics is the problem.

In the last 100 years we have had two decent presidents - Coolidge and Reagan. The political process is corrupt and broken and the only “political” group that stands for anything right now is the Tea Party and your beloved GOP has already started to marginalize them.

If we continue our current course this is not going to end well. So we have a choice, be bold and do the right thing based on principles and values or...continue the “normal” political approach where we have to compromise our principles, ignore our values and accepts lies. How has that become the “norm”.

Everyone has just become way too comfortable with evil and apathy and now we even call repugnant things “normal”.

And you know it isn’t even about being bold...the American voter just need to find the courage to do the right thing and actually decide they want to stand for something.

How’s that worked out so far?

In the last election, we made a lot of headway. You might have grounds to complain if the country voted for more of the same last year.

Instead, you are screaming at the GOP to basically let the problems fester and get worse. There are actions the GOP can take now - cut spending, de-fund Obamacare, get rid of the 1099 requirements - that will be a good starting point.

You have a very low bar...and are far too willing to accept mediocrity. This has nothing to do with how many R’s or D’s are elected. This is about principles and values and believing in the American Experiment.

This is about principles and values and believing in the American Experiment.

And that Experiment worked pretty well the last election.

I'll leave you to ranting, there's work to be done.

Your approach is very similar to when a family allows a family member to continue to bring the entire family down.

You know a relative is a total scumbag, hooked on drugs and doesn’t think they need help, etc...

And yet you still invite them into your home, lend them money and all the time you are completely comfortable with risking your entire family existence because they are “family”.

The GOP and DEMS today are like that relative that is always going to screw you and as long as you continue to let them they will.

Yeah the treatment of people like Palin, Bachmann, DeMint, etc by the GOP shows how bad the experiment is failing.

They have a term for people that blindly follow the GOP, DEMS - SHEEPLE.

This is exactly what we are going to get through the “normal” political process.

This is a complete lie.

Bernanke is an idiot. We know that.

The way to start neutralizing Bernanke is to start reducing spending so the Fed has no rationale to print money at the current levels.

The way to neutralize Bernanke is to expose the Fed and shut them down. We don’t need them, they are a scam.

See I guess that is a point we can look at. You are comfortable with nudges and modifications...I want us to eradicate the cancers.

I don’t want to treat the symptoms...I want to cure the disease.

If you want the Fed eliminated, you have to overcome decades of political and socieital rationalization as to why it exists.

And that is not overcome overnight. You need to talk the American people down the back steps one election at a time, instead of demanding they jump out the third-floor window. That is my point. It took a long time to get here, it will not change overnight - and especially with Obama still in the White House and the Dems still in charge of the Senate.

But the GOP does hold the House, where the most difference can be made in fiscal sanity and oversight. So since the GOP has been in power just over a month, I think we need to give them a chance to carry out the agenda they ran on - and support and push them even further in that direction.
